Self Titled Debut CD [$10] email=scottintheway[AT]yahoo[DOT]ca
Also Available at McNally Robinson, and Scott's Parable In Saskatoon
Scott Kurtz writes the songs and sings them and plays the guitars, Jordan Kurtz plays the drums, Beth Malena plays the keys of all types, and Scotty Lepp provides the bass guitar and the occasional patch-cable solo. Also Trent Lepp was helping out on guitar once upon a time.
Our first studio album was recorded summer 2005 at Right Tracks Studio in Saskatoon, Canada, with mucho guidance from Daryl Pierce (www.darylpierce.com). Some of the results are here for you to enjoy. The rest are available on the album. We hope you find them as enjoyable to listen to as we found them difficult to record.
We don't get to play together that much, but there is a groove here and we stumble upon it often enough that we keep coming back. Hopefully there will be some sort of continuity to our practicing and performing eventually, but until that point we will savour our sporadic moments of harmony.
Thank you so much for your words, honestly, your words mean a lot to me. I value what you say - you're a great fellow and song writer, it means a lot to have words like that coming from you.
Scott, I am telling you, this endless. I am loving it. good on ya. Anyway, covenent ends thursday, so we should hang out soon and maybe wip out the ol pipe, I think I may have to dust of the cob webs, but it will be fine.
This is the best band I've ever been a part of. Ha ha, and I can't believe you left Tom on your Top 8, it's like you don't care. It's so seudo anti-MySpace.
Hey Scott, long time no talk. Some tracks from your record have been popping up on my iPod lately, and I just wanted to say how refreshing it is to have a "local" artist come on and not only not skip the track, but turn it up instead. It really is a great record, and I'm proud to give you a home in my top 8 (0r 16, or whatever it is).
Nice stuff, great name. We have made some great new friends from Saskabush (I can say that - My mother lives in Foam Lake Sk) and I love the songs coming out of there.
Thanks for inviting us to be part of your network. FYI, IndieCan produces the pod cast THE TORONTO INDIE SCENE - an hour of the best music you've never heard with band interviews, industry insiders and Canada's best emerging artists. Find it at www.indiecan.com and down load every show for free.
